The historical context that preceded this event is of extreme importance to understand the reasons that led to the revolution. Russia, at the time, faced a series of challenges, including participation in World War I, which was wearing down the country's economy and social stability. Karl Marx, in a different context, already pointed to the 'necessity' of a proletarian revolution as part of the society's evolution process. Considering these elements and Marx's words, analyze the context in which the Russian Revolution occurred and answer the following items: (1) How did Russia's participation in World War I influence the events that led to the Russian Revolution? (2) In what way can Marx's ideas, suggesting the inevitability of a proletarian revolution, be seen as a motivating or justifying element for the actions of the Russian revolutionaries?
