A sound wave is emitted from a source and propagates in a uniform gaseous medium. At a given moment, an observer detects the wave and realizes that the air pressure at the location where he is located has decreased to a minimum value. Considering that the speed of sound in the air is 343 meters per second, and that the frequency of the sound wave is 1000 Hz, calculate: (1) the distance between two points in the medium where the air pressure is in phase with the wave detected by the observer; (2) the time variation that the observer must wait to detect the next minimum pressure value if he remains at the same observation point. To solve the question, use the concepts of wavelength and period of the wave, knowing that the propagation speed of a wave (v), the frequency (f), and the wavelength (λ) are related by the formula v = λ * f. Consider that the sound wave behaves according to the laws of acoustics and that there are no interferences that could alter its propagation in the gaseous medium.
