As urbanization advances, the challenges of managing sustainable cities become increasingly complex. Many cities around the world face common problems such as pollution, increasing social inequality, and inadequate infrastructure. A diverse student body from a college in the center of a metropolis plays an active role in urban sustainability initiatives. They identify that the unequal distribution of public services and poor urban infrastructure significantly contribute to the degradation of the urban environment and social disparities. By leading a campaign to raise awareness in the community about these issues, the students apply concepts of urban geography to analyze the spatial relationships between the location of different social classes, quality of life, and access to urban services.
