Stoichiometry: Stoichiometry Problems

Easy

(Originais Teachy 2023) - Question Easy of Chemistry

During an experiment in the laboratory, a student mixed 15 g of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) with 100 mL of hydrochloric acid (HCl) with a concentration of 1.0 mol/L. After the reaction, it was noticed that all the sodium hydroxide reacted, forming sodium chloride (NaCl) and water. Considering that the density of the HCl solution is 1.0 g/mL and that the final volume of the solution is the sum of the initial volumes of the reactants and the reaction product, calculate: 1) The mass of sodium chloride produced. 2) The final volume of the solution after the reaction. Use the atomic masses in u: H = 1, Cl = 35.5, Na = 23, and O = 16.
