During the 19th century, African art began to arouse the interest of European artists and collectors, who saw in African pieces an inspiration for the modernist movement. In Brazil, the influence of African art can be seen, for example, in the works of Tarsila do Amaral, who in her painting 'Abaporu' portrays traits and stylistic elements present in African art. Considering the importance of African art in shaping a national aesthetic imaginary, describe in general terms how the representation of daily life in African tribes is reflected in their artistic expressions and how this representation may have influenced Brazilian art. Then, cite a specific example of a Brazilian artwork that highlights this influence and explain how it is manifested in the chosen work.
