(Originais Teachy 2023) - Question Easy of Mathematics

In a school, the 3rd-grade students conducted a survey to find out which fruit is the most popular among them. Table 'A' shows the number of votes for each fruit: apple, banana, orange, and grape. Table 'B' presents the same data, but with percentages of votes. Using the information from tables 'A' and 'B', determine how many students participated in the survey and what were the absolute number and percentage of votes for the least popular fruit.
a.
To find out how many students participated, we add up all the votes from table 'A'. The percentage of votes for the least popular fruit is the difference between 100% and the percentage of the most popular fruit.
b.
The number of survey participants is the total votes for the most popular fruit in table 'A'. The percentage of votes for the least popular fruit is the percentage of votes for the same fruit in table 'B'.
c.
The number of students who participated in the survey is equal to the number of votes for the least popular fruit in table 'A'. To determine the percentage of votes for the least popular fruit, we should divide the number of votes for that fruit by the total votes in table 'B' and multiply the result by 100. The least popular fruit and its respective data are found following the described steps.
d.
To find the number of students who voted, we count the number of columns with votes in table 'A'. The percentage of votes for the least popular fruit is the number of votes for that fruit divided by the total votes in the same table.
e.
The total number of students who voted is the sum of the votes for the four fruits in table 'B'. The percentage of votes for the least popular fruit is the division of the votes for that fruit by the total votes and then multiplied by 100.

In a science project, students need to measure different volumes of liquids for their experiments. The scale used to measure the volume of water can only measure in multiples of 100 milliliters. When measuring, the scale shows 450.725 grams of water. We know that the density of water is 1 g/ml. (1) Round the volume measured by the scale to the nearest milliliter. (2) Explain why the scale provided a number in grams instead of milliliters and how you used the density of water to convert the measurement back to volume in milliliters.
