João and Maria are siblings and live in a city with many parks. How can we compare the two places in terms of how people use them and their importance to the city where they live?

In a global scenario of concern about climate change and the search for sustainable solutions, renewable energies stand out as an alternative to conventional energy sources, such as fossil fuels. Considering this perspective, (1) explain what renewable energies are and cite three examples of energy sources that fall into this category. (2) Discuss how the adoption of renewable energies can contribute to reducing the economic and socio-environmental impacts resulting from the exploitation of natural resources, paying special attention to local practices and commitment to sustainability. (3) Present arguments demonstrating the importance of renewable energy matrices in the current context and how they can be implemented at different analysis scales.

NATO, a military alliance created in 1949, has played an important role in combating international terrorism since the attacks of September 11, 2001. It uses cartographic, graphic, and iconographic languages to plan operations, monitor movements, and inform the population. The main forms of violence related to terrorism include suicide attacks, kidnappings, explosive attacks, and cyber attacks, with varied causes such as poverty, social exclusion, religious and political radicalization. NATO proposes mechanisms such as direct military actions, cooperation between intelligence agencies, training of local security forces, and prevention and deradicalization programs. NATO's relations with counterterrorism are relevant in political, social, environmental, economic, and cultural aspects, promoting security, stability, and cooperation among different cultures and religions in the contemporary world.
